WAN Interface Configuration

Your Pipeline 220 supports two different WAN interfaces, although only one interface is supported at a time. The DB-44 connector supports the serial WAN interface. The RJ48C connector supports the T1-CSU interface. Select the interface you use and the displayed menus correspond to your selection.

With either interface, you must configure a Connection Profile and a Frame Relay Profile. The Connection Profile configures the Pipeline 220 to route packets to the remote networks across the WAN interface. The Frame Relay Profile configures the connection between the Pipeline 220 and your carrier.

Your carrier provides you with the information listed under the Telephone Company Provided submenu. If you ever experience WAN interface problems, you should validate with your carrier that your configured values are correct.
