THE MULTIBAND FAMILY

The Multiband family of bandwidth-on-demand products are powerful platforms for voice, data and video applications. Multibands can be used for setting up desktop, room and multipoint video and for other applications with fluctuating bandwidth needs, such as leased line backup and overflow, disaster recovery and voice traffic from a PBX. Using industry-leading inverse multiplexing technology developed by Ascend, Multiband products let you build flexible, low-cost global networks from digital dial-up bandwidth that you pay for only as you use it, when you need it.

Members of the Multiband product family include the Multiband Plus, the Multiband VSX T1 and the Multiband VSX BRI.

• Using ISDN BRI lines, the Multiband VSX BRI supports single-session videoconferences at speeds ranging from 112 Kbit/s up to 512 Kbit/s.
• The Multiband VSX T1 is a flexible inverse multiplexer that can set up single-session videoconferences and share bandwidth with a PBX at speeds ranging from 112 Kbit/s up to a full T1.
• The Multiband Plus supports four simultaneous bandwidth-on-demand applications over SW56, BRI, PRI, and T1/E1.
• The Multiband MAX bandwidth-on-demand controllers provide high-speed access for multimedia applications and scalability for future growth.
