The MAX TNT™ is a scalable, carrier-class WAN access switch that lets network service
providers and corporations build high-density access networks. It manages 672 switched
sessions and 150 leased T1/E1 Frame Relay sessions to a central site or large Point of

The MAX TNT™ is a carrier-class WAN access switch that lets network service
providers and corporations build high-density access networks. With the MAX TNT,
users have
- Support for up to 672 concurrent switched sessions and 150 T1/E1 Frame Relay sessions
- The capacity to handle 2,016 concurrent modem users or 4,032 ISDN or 56/64 Kbps Frame Relay calls in an eight foot rack
- Reliable, NEBS compliant architecture that has hot-swappable modules and redundant power supplies and logic
- Multiservice applications for high-density POPs, Virtual Private Networking (VPN), corporate telecommuting and secure remote access
- Modular design (Digital Modem, Hybrid Access and FrameLine) for migration to new technologies
- Enhanced software capabilities with Frame Relay, ISDN and VPN
- High-speed 48-port digital modem modules for high-performance networking over channelized T1/E1, channelized T3/E1 PRI
- Seamless connections over FDDI, Ethernet, Frame Relay (over a V.35 serial or HSSI port), unchannelized T3 and unchannelized T1 ports with integral CSU
