THE MAX FAMILY
Install one of Ascend's MAX WAN access switches at your corporate central site, and

in the marketplace. Use any of the MAX models to set up a telecommuting program,
support file transfer and e-mail between your remote offices or consolidate your Internet
traffic. Their rich set of featuresincluding integrated support for all types of WAN
services and a broad range of data, voice and video applicationslet network managers
take maximum advantage of available bandwidth, optimize network performance and drive
down total ownership costs. Since Ascend's MAX products share a common software
platform, the powerful capabilities of the MAX are available to you whether you’re
supporting eight users or 96 users.
The MAX family of WAN access switches includes the MAX 200Plus, MAX 1800, MAX
2000, MAX 2012/2024, MAX 4000, MAX 4030, MAX 4048/4060 and the MAX
TNT.
- The MAX 200Plus, built on open PCMCIA-card technology, is designed for small- to medium-sized offices and supports up to eight analog/ISDN users.
- The MAX 1800 is a mid-range platform that supports up to 16 calls from analog, ISDN and frame relay callers over ISDN BRI connections.
- The MAX 2000 leverages existing MAX technology to deliver a low-cost WAN access switch to corporations and ISPs who require a remote access solution ideal for midrange applications.
- The MAX 2012 and 2024 are WAN access switches that offer bundled Remote Networking Software
- The MAX 4000 is a high-performance, multiprotocol WAN access switch that supports up to 120 E1 or 96 T1 concurrent connections to a corporate site or an ISP POP over ISDN PRI, channelized T1/E1 and frame relay. (Available Internationally only)
- The MAX 4048 and 4060 are WAN access switches that offer integrated software and high-performanceSeries56 Digital Modems.
- The MAX TNT is a carrier-class WAN access switch that gives large corporations and network service providers a high-capacity, multiservice platform that manages up to 672 concurrent calls over a dynamic mix of analog, ISDN, xDSL and T1 or T3 Frame Relay.
