Pipeline QuickStart

Your telephone company should provide information about your ISDN service that you need to configure the Pipeline--including the telephone numbers, service profile identifiers (SPIDs), if any, and the switch type used--when they complete the installation. If you did not receive this information, contact the telephone company.

Most types of ISDN service include two telephone numbers. However, certain kinds of service, such as AT&T Custom Point-to-Point, include only one telephone number.

Many types of ISDN service do not include service profile identifiers (SPIDs). These include AT&T Custom Point-to-Point service and most types of ISDN service outside North America.

If you test the ISDN line and it is not working properly, follow any advice that QuickStart provides. Make sure that

• the ISDN cable is properly connected, both to the ISDN jack or NT1 device and to the Pipeline
• the telephone settings settings you entered are correct
