3.3.33

TLANI2, TLANI4, TLANI8

NOTE
Danger of damage to property due to surge voltage. The required lightning protection measures must be taken for this board, see Section 2.1.2 "Lightning Protection".

Introduction
TLANI2, TLANI4 and TLANI8 boards provide 2, 4 and 8 interfaces for the analog trunk connection (MSI: Ground start or loop start for HiPath 3550 and HiPath 3350 (wall housing) ready.
The interfaces for analog trunk connection support the CLIP feature and call detail recording with 12 kHz and 16 kHz impulses. Call detail recording is selected automatically via the country setting of the system. Call detail recording with 50 Hz pulses is not supported.
Not all board country variants support call detail recording with 12 kHz and 16 kHz impulses.
With HiPath 3000/5000 Manager E, call detail recording can be activated and deactivated (Settings menu: Lines/networking ... -> Trunks -> (double-click) Parameters -> MSI flags -> Flags -> Charge module activated).
"Silent Reversal", which is used to register the beginning and end of an outgoing call in different countries, is also supported. It can be activated with HiPath 3000/5000 Manager E (Settings menu: Lines/networking ... -> Trunks -> (double-click) Parameters -> MSI flags -> Flags -> Silent Reversal).
The Austrian direct inward dialing system ÜFS is not supported.
Warning
According to U.S. and Canadian installation instructions, analog trunks must be connected over fuse elements in compliance with UL 497A or CSA C22.2 No. 226.

TLANI8 occupation
The TLANI8 can be occupied in the following variants based on a common PCB:
 •   TLANI8-CE (S30810-Q2954-X100): Fully occupied board, i.e. with call charge filter, call detail recording and jumper for ground start/loop start configuration
 •   TLANI8-IM (S30810-Q2954-X101): Board without call charge filter and call detail recording, loop start only
 •   TLANI8-BRA (S30810-Q2954-X182): Board without call charge filter

Jumper for setting the procedure for analog trunk interfaces
Process settings for the analog trunk interface is via X105 and X106 jumpers.
 •   TLANI2, TLANI4
   -   Loop start setting = pins 1-2 closed (default)
   -   Ground start setting = Pins 2 - 3 closed
 •   TLANI8
   -   Loop start setting = pins 3-4 closed (default)
   -   Ground start setting = pins 1-2 closed
[ground start not possible for TLANI8-IM and TLANI8-BRA]
