CUP and CUPR |
| The backplane comes in two versions: |
| • | CUP (Connection Unit Point) S30777-Q751-X (Figure 3-11) - for use in HiPath 3350 (wall housing) |
| • | CUPR (Connection Unit Point Rack) S30777-Q751-Z (Figure 3-12) - for use in HiPath 3300 (19-inch housing) |

Replacing the Backplane |
| Replacing the backplane may be necessary due to contact problems. These are evidenced by the following symptoms: |
| • | Error messages about various peripheral modules occur. |
| • | Erratic error messages about the CBCC/CBRC and UPSCD modules occur. |
| • | The system displays the error message B16-12 RESTART: Power down and performs a restart. |
| Please note, however, that the backplane should only be replaced if the errors still occur even after the following points have been checked and the mentioned problems eliminated: |
| • | Have the necessary grounding regulations been followed? |
| • | Do the cables have contact problems or visible damage? |
| • | Do the system components have any visible damage? |
| The following part numbers must be used to order the necessary replacement parts for HiPath 3500: |
