10.3.1

HiPath 3000/5000 Networking Features

Boundary conditions
The following boundary conditions apply:
 •   TDM networking
Systems with different software versions can be networked. Each system only provides the features available in the corresponding software versions.
 •   IP trunking
Networking is not supported for systems with different software versions. In addition, all HG1500 boards in a system must have the same software version.
As of HiPath 3000/5000 V7 R4, the EFC protocol must be activated (default) for all systems in an IP network. EFC is mandatory in order to be able to fully use all features.

1HiPath 3000 supports ECS via CorNet-NQ in the following manner:
- ECS is set if a defined emergency number is dialed.
- Calls with ECS are forwarded first, wherever possible.
- ECS contains a LIN that can be displayed at a Public Safety Answering Point.
Further analysis, for example, special call signaling if the target is a HiPath 3000 client.
