Disconnecting and rejecting calls |
Definition |
| Keys: |
| This feature makes it possible to reject incoming internal and external first calls. The following key is pressed to reject calls: |
| • | on OpenStage and optiPoint (stationary telephones): the function key "Disconnect" |
| • | on Gigaset (CMI) handsets: "Consultation hold" function with the R-Key or the "Cons.Hold" softkey |
| Disconnection of call by individual stations: |
| If an individual station or a station that is the only group member is called, the station can initiate a call before or after the start of call signaling. The waiting call is immediately disconnected in this case. |
| Operation options: |
| • | If the outgoing call was initiated by pressing a numeric key or the "Repdial key internal", the waiting call is disconnected immediately. |
| • | With any other method, e.g., "Repdial key external", call key, line key, redial key - the waiting call is only disconnected immediately if the flag "Call waiting rejection on" is activated for the station. Otherwise, the waiting call is set to "Call waiting". |
| Disconnect call through group member: |
| The behavior described above also occurs when a station that belongs to a group with multiple members is called. The only difference is that the call is not disconnected, but rejected. In other words, the caller sees a busy indication on his or her display, as if the station had first manually rejected the waiting call and then initiated the outgoing call. The other group members are not affected by this system behavior. |
| The rejected call then follows the Call Management. If no call forwarding destination has been specified, calls which originated externally are intercepted by the attendant console. If there is no attendant console configured, the call is routed according to the table in Ringing assignment per line/Stations/Groups: Line Assignments in Manager E. In the case of a loop start call, the call will remain frozen in the queue if no subsequent destinations can be reached. In all other cases, the call is released. |
