Call Forwarding After Time

Definition
The "Call forwarding after time" feature can be set for the individual extension via the user prompts on every terminal. External destinations and groups can also be entered.
Up to three call destination groups can be set for each station. A new indicator "**" has been added to call destination groups. This indicator shows whether a call forwarding destination is available for a particular station. In other words, "Call forwarding after time" is a call forwarding function.
If a call is not answered within a set time, the next Call Management destination - in this case the second - is called. The second (or first, third or fourth) destination can be either a call number (as in the past) or the new indicator "**". If this new indicator is configured, the system finds and calls the "Call forwarding after time" destination stored for the station. If a call number is not entered here, the system moves on to the next destination.
The indicator "**" can also be entered as the first option.
The system permits you to do this, however, it is not recommended.
The call forwarding destination can be set directly by the subscriber via the terminal. Manager E cannot be used to configure the destinations.
The "**" indicator is entered as the second call forwarding destination by default for all call destination lists. This ensures that all subscribers have the option of using this function. In the case of updated systems, a service technician must configure the "**" indicator in call destination lists if this feature is to be implemented in lower releases.
These numbers are not stored permanently. They are deleted when "Call forwarding after time" is deactivated.
If the destination called is busy, the same mechanisms apply as for normal call forwarding, that is, the system immediately switches to the next destination in the call destination list.
The feature is supported externally by associated dialing and by DISA.

MULAP
If a user has configured a number of terminals in a MULAP, all terminals will respond in the same way when a call is forwarded.
 •   "Call forwarding after time" is not explicitly implemented for MULAPs or hunt groups. However, if "Call forwarding after time" is activated on one of the master terminals in a MULAP, it is also implemented when the MULAP is called.
 •   If the "Call forwarding after time" feature is activated on the master terminal in the MULAP, call forwarding is implemented on all terminals in the MULAP group.
 •   If the "Call forwarding after time" feature is activated at another device in the MULAP, forwarding is only performed for this particular device.
Example: If a secretary wants to activate "Call forwarding after time" for the executive MULAP (which also includes the secretary telephone), this must be activated on the executive telephone.
 •   If the device is master in more than one MULAP, then call forwarding after time applies to all MULAPs.
Call forwarding after time for the U.S. (MULAP)
A separate solution has been developed for MULAP in the U.S. The second field of the call destination list is left free to indicate that calls should only be forwarded when the line is busy.
Call forwarding
Activating call forwarding does NOT override "Call forwarding after time"; call forwarding is performed if the CFW destination does not reply after the timeout.
