| • | Voice transmission/voice compression, for example |
| - | G.723.1 (5.3/6.3 Kbps) |
| - | G.729A (8 Kbps) |
| • | Data applications (Application Sharing, T.120) |
| It is clear that this standard offers much more than just what is needed for voice transmission via data networks. H.323 was developed for multimedia applications. |
