To guarantee uninterrupted operation of the HiPath 3800, not more than two SLCN boards should be plugged in to a PCM segment. This condition must always be observed. For information on PCM segment distribution, see Section 4.1.5.7 "Distribution of the PCM Highway".   One board slot should be kept free between two SCLN boards to prevent overheating.
