IP/IP e2e payload via enterprise proxy 
 
Extensions of the CorNet-IP protocol with the EFC (EFC: Extended Fast Connect) protocol variant make the "IP/IP e2e payload via enterprise proxy" feature available for connections of IP terminals/clients to the ITSP. The "IP/IP e2e payload via enterprise proxy" makes it unnecessary for the DSP of the HG 1500 (DSP: digital signal processor) to process the IP packets. Thus, gateway channels for the HG 1500 are no longer used and the maximum number of calls only depends on the codec in use and the available bandwidth of the DSL connection.
All IP terminals/clients of a system and all IP terminals/clients within a network must support EFC to be able to use "IP/IP e2e payload via enterprise proxy".
Important: Beginning with HiPath 3000 V8 and HiPath 4000 V5, the CorNet-IP protocol is no longer supported for the networking of these two systems.

The IP terminals optiPoint 410 and optiPoint 420 must be upgraded to an EFC-capable software, if this has not yet been done.
